5 Keys of Success

Your Big Problem . . . Your Performance Gap

Episode Summary

One of the biggest, most prevalent problems for people is the lack of follow through. They finish what the start. They don’t follow up with customers and prospects like they know they should. Many people have a lot of ideas that they want to do, but never get around to getting them off the ground. We call this your performance gap. The difference between what you know and could do and what you consistently do. For most people that gap is big enough to drive semi through. Today we are going to talk about why we have them and what you can do to start to shrink that gap.

Episode Notes

ACTION ITEMS:

  1.  Pick one area to focus on growing in. Ideally an area that will have compounding effect because it causes positive effects in the other areas of your life.
  2. Set a new ideal standard. Set a goal of a specific performance level.  Make it measurable and keep track. But realize that it will take time to reach that new level. Allow yourself time to build up to it. Create a plan to grow into that new level.
  3. Now start practicing and learn from your results. Adapt and adjust and repeat UNTIL you get good enough at it that it becomes your new normal.
  4. Focus on this area for 30, 60 90 days. Until you have reached the level you want consistently. Again, growth is a process. Keep growing until you reach the level you want.
